BCT Quarterly Newsletter (July 2026)

Welcome to Our Quarterly Update

As another busy quarter comes to a close, we'd like to take this opportunity to thank our employees, clients, and supply chain partners for their continued support. It has been another exciting and successful few months for BCT, marked by continued business growth, new project awards, team expansion, and our ongoing commitment to supporting charitable causes.

The year has certainly presented its challenges, with one of the wettest winters in recent memory followed by an exceptionally hot start to summer. Despite the changing conditions, our teams have continued to deliver projects safely, professionally, and to the high standards our clients have come to expect. Their dedication, resilience, and hard work have ensured programmes have remained on track and deadlines have been achieved across all our sites.

Welcome to the Team

As BCT continues to grow, we're delighted to welcome several new members to the business. Their knowledge, enthusiasm, and experience will further strengthen our team as we continue to expand across the UK.

A huge welcome to...

  • Reggie - Chief Eating Officer (CEO) - BCT South Division

  • Jack Parker – Contracts Manager – BCT South Division

  • Peter Chapman – Contracts Manager – BCT South Division

  • Paige Gough – Quantity Surveyor – BCT South West Division

  • Sam Larbalestier – Quantity Surveyor – BCT South Division

  • Taylor Cockerill – Apprentice Quantity Surveyor – BCT South Division

  • Rachel Ellis – Procurement Manager – BCT South West Division

We'd like to wish each of them every success in their new roles and extend a warm welcome to the BCT family.

Congratulations!

A huge congratulations to Chris Richens on his well-deserved promotion to Commercial Director.

Since joining BCT in June 2025, Chris has become an integral part of the company's continued success. Anyone who knows Chris—which is many!—will recognise his exceptional commercial awareness, forward-thinking approach to industry innovation, and his ability to lead by example. His commitment to developing our commercial and procurement teams, while maintaining outstanding relationships with both clients and colleagues, has played a significant role in BCT's continued growth.

Away from the office, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, a round of golf whenever he gets the chance, watching Saints at St Mary's, and, more often than not, enjoying a well-earned beer with friends and colleagues.

Chris' promotion is thoroughly deserved, and everyone at BCT wishes him every success as he begins this exciting new chapter.

BCT South West Expansion

One of the biggest milestones this quarter has been the continued growth of our South West Division.

Our South West office is now fully established and operating from Three Legged Cross, Ringwood, serving as the headquarters for BCT's continued expansion throughout Dorset, Somerset, and Devon.

The office has quickly become a thriving hub for the business and is staffed by a dedicated Commercial Team.

We're already delivering four live projects across the South West and continue to build strong relationships with both existing and new clients. The positive response to our expansion has been incredibly encouraging, and we're excited about what the future holds for the division.

As our presence continues to grow, our tender book remains open, and we'd welcome the opportunity to speak with developers, contractors, and house builders looking for a trusted groundwork and civil engineering partner.

New Project Successes

We're delighted to announce the successful award of four new projects across our South and South West divisions.

Allison Homes – Crewkerne, Somerset:
Our first project with Allison Homes and an exciting opportunity to establish a strong relationship with another valued client in the South West.

Vistry Homes – Graylingwell:
Continuing our valued relationship with an existing client.

BDW Southern Counties – Birdham:
Another exciting development with one of our long-standing clients.

Lovell Partnership – Woodgate:
Marking our first secured project with this new client.

Winning repeat business from existing clients while securing new partnerships is a fantastic reflection of the quality, professionalism, and reliability that BCT continues to deliver.

Delivering Through Every Season

Mother Nature has certainly kept us on our toes this year. From months of relentless rainfall throughout the winter to soaring temperatures as summer arrived, our site teams have faced every challenge head-on. Despite the conditions, our operatives have continued to demonstrate exceptional commitment, professionalism, and determination, ensuring projects remain on programme while maintaining the highest standards of safety and workmanship.

A huge thank you goes to every member of our operational teams. Your dedication, resilience, and hard work are what make BCT the trusted contractor our clients continue to rely upon time and time again.

Supporting a Great Cause

Earlier this quarter, a team of seven BCT employees proudly represented the company at the Lovell Partnership Charity Football Tournament. With the sun beating down throughout the day, the tournament certainly tested the team, but they rose to the challenge and put in an outstanding performance, reaching the final before narrowly missing out on the trophy.

The event was a fantastic success, bringing businesses together through sport while raising money for a cause that is deeply personal to the Lovell team and one that resonates with many people.

A huge thank you to Lovell Partnership for the invitation and for organising such a brilliant event.

BCT Charity Golf Day

On 3rd July, BCT proudly hosted our First Annual Charity Golf Day in honour of our very own Ron Taylor.

The event brought together clients, suppliers, colleagues, and friends for another fantastic day of golf, networking, and fundraising.

We're incredibly grateful to everyone who supported the event through sponsorship, donations, raffle prizes, and team entries. We are proud to have raised £27,995.00 for the UK Sepsis Trust. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the day such a memorable occasion.

Looking Ahead

The second half of the year promises to be another exciting chapter for BCT.

With new projects secured, the continued success of our South West expansion, and a growing team of talented people, we're well positioned for another strong period of growth.

To all of our employees, clients, suppliers, and business partners, thank you for your continued trust, commitment, and support. Together, we're building more than projects; we're building lasting relationships, creating opportunities, and building a stronger future for BCT.

Here's to another successful quarter ahead.
